We believe we have a lot to learn from each other...
 
 
 
We invite people who are members of the Ege University Family and who want to support the development of themselves and their colleagues by sharing their knowledge and experience, to be a part of the "Ege University Corporate Mentoring Program".
 
 
 
What is Mentoring?
 
It is a one-on-one learning process from experienced employees of people who have just joined the institution and/or need to gain more knowledge and experience, and it is based on the masters supporting the development of the apprentices.
 
 
 
Who is Mentor (Master)?
 
A trusted and experienced guide, counselor, mentor and mentor, he is, in short, a master. He is the person who will transfer his knowledge and experience specific to Ege University and his work on a voluntary basis to his colleagues who have less experience and need improvement.
 
 
 
Who is a Mentee (Apprentice)?
 
He is a person who aims to increase his knowledge and experience by taking mentorship.
 
 
 
Qualities We Look for in Mentors (Masters)
 
Awareness of the importance of learning and developing together
Willingness to transfer knowledge and experience-volunteering
10 years or more experience
Effective communication skills
 
 
What You Need to Do to Become a Mentor
 
Sending a short Letter of Intent to the Human Resources Coordinator (insankaynaklari@mail.ege.edu.tr, zeynep.kose@ege.edu, which briefly introduces you and expresses which subjects (expertise, skills) you can support the less experienced employees) .tr)
 
 
What to Expect If You Are Selected as a Mentor?
 
Selected mentors will be given training on "The Functioning of the Mentoring Process and the Characteristics of Effective Mentors" (Projected Training Time: 90 minutes)
After the training, the Human Resources Coordinator will meet with the mentors one-on-one and learn about the expectations, goals and what kind of mentee they want to be matched with (Projected Interview Time: 20 minutes)
Mentor-mentee (master-apprentice) matches will take place and mentors will meet with mentees they will contribute to their development.
Matched mentors and mentees will come together for approximately 45 minutes “once a week or 10 days” and exchange information and experience.
